noodleloop secures their first investment

Updated: 6 minutes ago

A lot has happened for the Karlstad-based game studio Noodleloop. Just a year ago, the four co-founders Mira, Mukund, Moa and Martin were studying game design and programming at Futuregames in Stockholm. Today they live together in Karlstad, have secured their first investment, and are working full speed to complete their debut game.

– Getting funding in the current climate isn’t easy, especially when you’re trying to do something a little different. We feel very lucky to have found partners and investors who believe in what we’re making, says Mira Ferenius, CEO of Noodleloop AB.

Noodleloop first gained attention after winning first prize and 100,000 SEK at The Great Summer Pitch in 2025. In August the same year, the team moved to Karlstad to do their internship as a game studio with The Great Journey. They also established their company in the city.

A couple of weeks ago it was confirmed that Noodleloop has secured funding from local investors in Värmland - an important milestone for the young studio as they continue developing their first game Tiny Tree Talk (formerly named Bonsai ´98).

Now the accelerator program The Great Catapult awaits Noodleloop. It’s a 12 month runway for indie game studios that includes funding, game and business coaching, free office space and more.

– Värmland is one of the most exciting places for indie games and indie studios right now. Apart from education we offer access to funding, business development and a community, says Patrick Standfast, CEO of The Great Journey.

Noodleloop is the second company to receive investment from the local seed fund to finance their game production. Krufs Productions was the first and will release their debut game Heavy Metal Death Can this summer.
