Skildra is a creative storytelling and digital media studio rooted in Värmland, Sweden, with a mission to preserve and reinterpret local heritage and narratives through modern digital experiences.

 Originally growing out of the nonprofit Skildra Värmland, the studio works at the intersection of cultural storytelling and interactive media — producing films, games, VR experiences, and other digital projects that bring regional sagas, legends, and history to life.

The team at Skildra engages with community‑focused storytelling initiatives as well as experimental digital productions, blending traditional narratives with immersive formats. Their output includes interactive VR projects like Munkfors Bruk VR, short animated films based on local folklore (such as the legendary blacksmith Johan Tinglöf), and game‑related activities tied to regional cultural heritage.

With a base in Gamla Kvarnen in Munkfors, Skildra acts as both a creative studio and cultural hub, supporting local talent and inviting audiences to explore familiar stories through new, interactive mediums.
